Under the Heart of Melbourne's central business and shopping precinct lays one of the city's most unique entertainment venues.

The Hi-Fi began its life in World War II as the first Newsreel cinema in Melbourne. Over the last six decades, the venue has had many different incarnations, and today stands as one of the premier live entertainment venues in Melbourne. It has played host to stars such as Powderfinger, The Foo Fighters, Regurgitator, Roy and HG, Rove Live and is home to the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. But this Icon of Australian rock is not just a premiere live entertainment venue; it is also a versatile and unique functions option, and has recently hosted highly successful events and functions for Quicksilver, News Limited, Australia Post and More.

The venue was recently extensively renovated to bring it up to the demanding standards of the corporate world. It is split over two levels providing for great versatility. Overlooking the famous stage is the Mezzanine bar, an intimate and stylish location that perfectly suits smaller groups of 50 to 150. The Bar can be run independently or in conjunction with the Ballroom. The Ballroom, complete with stage, dance-floor, bar and state-of-the-art lighting and sound system has a capacity of up to 650 or 300 for seated dinners.
