The ROCK AND ROLL REVOLUTION is an online band competition where the winners perform on a national tour - keeping rock music in Australia alive.

The ROCK AND ROLL REVOLUTION is one of the most exciting Australian live music initiatives ever – a unique online voting competition through which the Australian public vote on who will make it to the stage - YOU bring the bands to the festival rather than the festival bringing the bands to YOU.

Featuring a fantastic lineup of rock music to celebrate the launch of Rock and Roll Revolution - an initiative to support the Australian live rock music scene.

Featuring for our first festival run of shows, Australia's hardest working rock band, multi platinum Aussie rock band the Screaming Jets.

 

 

Before Silverchair came along The Screaming Jets were the most popular band to emerge from the Australian industrial town, Newcastle. More than Silverchair, The Jets' music is a product of that town.

When the original band members were growing up in Newcastle they faced a future of either working in the steelworks and associated industries or not working at all. In a town like that the locals live hard, drink hard and want their rock hard. The Screaming Jets gave them what they wanted.

Self declared young Rolling Stones fans they were also carrying on the Australian rock traditions established by bands like AC/DC, the Angels and Rose Tattoo.

The Screaming Jets have played in well over 20 countries all around the world, sacked members, lost members and even scored an Top 10 Australian hit with their version of Birthday Party's "Shivers".
