A field of 14 plus two emergencies has been declared for the Black Opal Stakes in Canberra with several horses also among the acceptances for the two-year-old races in Sydney.
The Randwick meeting is scheduled to go ahead on Saturday despite the forecast for rain but several trainers have taken insurance by accepting for Canberra the following day.
Among the dual acceptors are leading Golden Slipper hopes Chauffeur, Menari Khan and Houtzen who is also in the field for a two-year-old race at Eagle Farm on Saturday.
